Today let’s pray for the victims of Dharali village in Uttarkashi and other places of Uttarakhand where there are cloud bursts and devastating floods. Several people and animals have lost their lives and properties worth crores of rupees have been destroyed.
Today, 6th August is remembered as Hiroshima Day, for the deadly nuclear attack on the Hiroshima city of Japan. Scores of people lost their lives then.
We have neither learnt from the natural nor from the man-made disasters. We over crowd and exploit fragile valleys and invite natural calamities. Today the world is on the brink of another nuclear disaster, thanks to the ongoing conflicts.
May God bless the victims of floods and people of Hiroshima!
