BE ASSERTIVE, BUT NOT AGRESSIVE; BE RESPECTFUL AND NOT DOMINANT!
Some people are so dominating that they try to exercise their influence on everyone around on every matter and in every situation. For them, whatever they say is always right and final. They will be nice to people who toe their line and rude to people who challenge them.
We find such dominating personalities everywhere – in families, in friends, in colleagues, in society, in offices and so on. We need to be careful and keep a safe distance from such people.
We may be assertive but not a dominant. By being assertive we insist on our view point, but by being dominant, we may become aggresaive.
May God bless us with the wisdom to exercise our own judgement notwithstanding undue influence by the dominant friends or relatives!
