SILENCE IS NOT A VIRTUE WHERE SPEAKING IS MUST!
There is a Gujarati proverb, which says: *”ન બોલવામાં નવ ગુણ!”*. It means there are nine benefits in not speaking.
However, it is not so where our silence is considered as our weakness. Silence is not good where members are going on a wrong track and we are part of that team.
By keeping mum, where we need to speak we may support wrong. By keeping silence we may allow people to take us for granted or bully us. We must protest wrong and insist to record if required. We may not be rude or arrogant, but if we give a befitting reply to someone trying to intimidate or bully us, we won’t be harassed next time.
May God bless us with the wisdom to develop courage to take a stand and speak up!
