Today let’s pray for the people of Himachal Pradesh (especially, Shimla) and Uttarakhand (especially, Joshi Math). Both these states have witnessed unprecedented rains and damages. Many people have died and several are injured and/or missing.
Buildings are collapsing like a pack of cards. All this is result of irresponsible and unabated construction on mountains in the name of development to promote tourism? It appears that Mother Nature is claiming her land back.
May better sense prevails while reconstructing ruined cities and villages once rains subsides.
May God bless the people affected by heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand!
