The world is full of selfish and philanthropic people. Some people always think of themselves and their own interest; whereas some live selflessly and go an extra mile to help others.
We should relate with people by knowing their intrinsic nature. With selfish people, we should be careful and with philanthropists, we should be liberal/magnanimous.
While we may protect our own interest but go out and help others. We should earn enough to survive and thrive, at the same time give/share enough to others to help them survive and thrive.
