There is a constant fight between emotions and intellect within us. Often our heart is in disagreement with our mind. Intellect thinks rationally, whereas heart is governed by emotions.
As such, both intellect and emotions are part of our mind only, but both have different influence on different parts of body. We need to listen to both, depending upon exigency.
Wisemen say, use your intellect while deciding and implement your decision with your emotions. In other words, be objective and deciding and be passionate in implementing your decision.
