Wisemen say that we should not give any promise while we are very happy and we should not take any decision when we are very sad. In both situations it is likely that we may commit an error.
When we are very elated we may get carried away; and when we are very sad, we may overlook silver linings and get further depressed.
Ideally, we should sleep over in any extreme mental or emotional upheaval and then decide.
